Joanne Haner is a junior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla. Although this is only her second year on the newspaper staff, her passion for journalism is a crucial part of her life. In addition to constantly advertising iPatriot, Joanne is also a member of Quill and Scroll and Key Club and serves as treasurer of the English Honor Society, secretary of the Chinese Honor Society and secretary and historian for the Mu Alpha Theta math team. While she does consider herself quite the math nerd, in her free time she enjoys listening to music or learning how to improve her photography.
As Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Patriot Post and a third-year staffer, Amber lives and breathes journalism. Alongside her better half and Co-Editor Angela, she converted The Patriot Post into a news magazine and often refers to it as her child. She also serves as the National Honor Society President and English Honor Society Vice President and competes in science research and Model UN. In her (limited) free time, Amber volunteers in the ICU at Cleveland Clinic, bakes, reads, shops and eats brunch (her favorite meal).
Angela Lin is a senior at American Heritage School. This is her fourth year on staff, and she is Co-Editor of The Patriot Post with Amber Bhutta, her better half. Graphic design is her passion, and she plans to pursue it in college. In addition to being Co-Editor-in-Chief, she is also the historian for NHS. When she’s not working on the news magazine, she enjoys taking pictures, eating ethnic sandwiches, painting and playing piano. Angela also runs her own photography company. As a sophomore, Kayla Rubenstein spends her second year on staff as Assistant Online Editor in Chief and Business Manager of iPatriot Post and the Patriot Post, respectively. Her world consists of reading as many books as she can get her hands on, binge watching Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural and anything Marvel, sleeping in until noon during the summer and on weekends, baking until no more counter space in her kitchen exists and writing for her favorite news outlet, the Patriot Post.
Sloane Kapit is a senior at American Heritage and holds the role of Assistant Editor in Chief and Cover Story Editor of the Patriot Post. Her love of both writing and design drew her into the world of communications. She serves as the president of the Pre-Law Society and Habitat for Humanity (AHS Chapter) and often works with children through UNICEF and Kids in Distress. Sloane also has a passion for fashion that she loves to share with others.

Kristen is a junior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla. She is Vice President of Student Government, an officer of the Pre-Law Society, News Editor and Assistant Editor-in-Chief of The Patriot Post and co-founder of the non-profit Friends for Fosters. Kristen loves keeping up with politics, watching Netflix, reading and sleeping in. She considers herself a nerd due to her massive video game and comic collection.

Maia is a junior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla. Even though this is only her second year on staff, Maia loves working for the newspaper. She also serves as Vice President of Save the Memories, participates in service projects and loves to discover new music and trendy restaurants. Maia considers herself an avid Billie Eilish fan and, in her free time, enjoys writing and taking pictures of nature. For her, a perfect day consists of sleeping in, avocado toast and binge-watching Netflix originals.
Alyssa Herzbrun is a junior and second-year staffer of the Patriot Post at American Heritage. She currently edits the opinion section of the newspaper and is an avid reader. On the weekends, Alyssa loves to volunteer at places like Broward Outreach Center, Ronald McDonald House and Feeding South Florida. Over the summer she read a book every day but finds school interfering with her reading streak. She also loves to clog (not the toilet but the dance). Alyssa is looking for a great year and hopes to meet many opinionated people.
As a third year staffer, senior Alex acts as the Patriot Post’s sports editor, while also managing the athletic department’s twitter account. Alex also serves as the sports editor for the yearbook and the president of Future Business Leaders of America. Outside of journalism, Alex can be seen eating, watching Netflix and fixing his fantasy football roster.
Bella Ramirez, 15, is a passionate journalist and Marvel fan. She enjoys writing for the newsmagazine, doing segments in WAHS and running her third publication, Pressing the Future. Ramirez has her head in the clouds and her heart in New York, fingers crossed she can last the next few years of high school in this Florida heat.
Olivia is a senior hailing from South Florida. In addition to newspaper, she has worked on the staff of Expressions Literary Magazine and is an editor of Spotlight Yearbook. Additionally, she is co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of Pressing the Future, an online international news organization. She has a passion for both journalistic and creative writing, but outside of the writing sphere, she is a cross-country runner and social rights activist.
Madison is a junior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla. This is her first year on the newspaper staff and is so excited for the many amazing things coming this school year for the Patriot Post. Madison is also a part of TASSEL and the Best Buddies club. She has a passion for photography and loves all types of music.
Zoe is a sophomore at American Heritage School with a passion for writing and a disturbing amount of knowledge about the world of internet memes. As an active member of English Honor Society and an officer in Key Club, she is excited to branch out into the world of publications. Although this is her first year on staff, she looks forward to developing her skills and working to make the Patriot Post even more iconic (if possible).
Emma is currently a sophomore at American Heritage School in Plantation Fla. Although this is her first year working as a part of the newspaper, she is extremely excited to be a part of the staff. Emma is also an active member of PAWS and TASSEL. In her free time she loves window shopping at home goods and trying vegan foods.
Sammy is a sophomore at American Heritage School in Plantation Fla. and is entering his second year writing for the newsmagazine. Outside of composing various articles, Sammy works as the presentation coordinator for Black, Gold and Green and volunteers at numerous community service projects such as the David Posnack JCC. As a die-hard Miami Heat and Dolphins fan, he loves tuning in to/attending any game he can in addition to playing both sports in his free time.
As the supreme ruler and queen of The Patriot Post, Ms. Diana Adams has taught English and journalism at American Heritage for 23 years and started The Patriot Post 21 years ago with only 4 students. In addition to the print and online newspapers, she advises yearbook and literary art magazine as well as teaches journalism and creative writing. All four publications have won numerous awards over the years. Ms. Adams also advises the National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Society. She is a member of DAR and Phi Kappa Phi, and has hosted international students in her home the past 14 years. In her rare free time, she enjoys reading science fiction and mysteries.
Kenzo is a senior at American Heritage School in Plantation, Fla. and a recurring guest writer for the iPatriotPost. Even though he started out his career in journalism as a junior, his involvement with newspaper as well as his passion for journalism truly reflects his "obscure" writing and prestigious camera shots. Kenzo is also President and Co-Founder of the Asian-American Student Association, Vice-President of Key Club and an active member of Speech & Debate, Model UN, Quill and Scroll and many more. In his free time he loves listening to Jazz classics, eating "weird food" and telling everyone he writes for the Patriot Post.
