Over the summer, many students traveled throughout the entire world, but to have a good summer, one need not leave the United States. Junior Noah Brenner was lucky enough to take a teen tour organized by Westcoast Connection throughout the country, making stops in many western states. He also made separate visits across the country before and after his teen tour.

Brenner embarked on the tour, which lasted for three weeks, in late June. He and his group visited many famous sites, mostly on the West Coast of the United States.

On the tour in Utah, Brenner explored the Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, and in California, he visited Alcatraz, Universal and Disneyland.

“Bryce and Zion Canyons were the coolest places, but the most fun [place] was San Diego because of the surfing,” Brenner said.

In addition to touring the West Coast on the teen tour, Brenner visited Washington, D.C., where he explored the monuments and toured the Capitol with his brother.

Toward the end of the summer, Brenner traveled to Missouri to celebrate his grandparents’ fiftieth anniversary. His family rented a house on the Lake of the Ozarks, which is near St. Louis, enjoyed the weather on a boat and relaxed on the golf course.

Even though he didn’t leave the country, Brenner said he had a wonderful summer experiencing the United States.
