Ohana means “Hoco”

in Features by

Students kicked off homecoming week by sporting their class shirts and school shorts for “Ohana Means Family Day.” 7th grade wore yellow, 8th grade wore orange, freshmen wore dark green, sophomores wore blue, juniors wore purple and seniors wore red.

“Honestly, it felt like any other Monday for me,” said juniors Jaime Harn and Vida Lugo.

“I liked the idea but didn’t want to wear school shorts,” said junior Zara Joykutty.

With quarter two beginning and speech week starting today for freshman, sophomores and juniors, both stress and spirit levels were high.

“I had three tests today,” added Joykutty.

The speech-free seniors, however, bursted with enthusiasm, and many girls wore red lipstick and accessories to supplement their vibrant shirts.

Tuesday, students will ditch their class shirts for matching outfits on “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Twin Day.”
