A pizza party doesn’t always come to mind when fundraising. The Pre-law Society held a fundraiser at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza Sept. 18 to collect funds for their bowling event for Kids in Distress.

The fundraiser lasted all day, and customers who mentioned American Heritage to their waiter had 20% of their money paid donated to the Pre-Law Society. The money benefits Kids in Distress, a charity that focuses on the prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family and treatment of abused and neglected children. Every year, Pre-Law Society members donate gifts to the children of Kids in Distress during the holidays.

The Pre-Las Society raised over $400 from the fundraiser.

“I’m really glad that the money is going to Kids in Distress. I love knowing that we can put smiles on kids’ faces during the holidays,” senior Isabella Whiting said.
