Seniors gathered for the annual Senior Breakfast, a bittersweet way to start their day, on Thursday April 13 in the gymateria. This year’s menu consisted of scrambled eggs (with a choice of sides such as bacon or chicken apple sausage patties), Krispy Kreme donuts and croissants (with a choice of Nutella, jelly or butter as topping).

The breakfast’s theme was “Vintage Florida” Tables and walls were adorned with palm fronds to replicate a Floridian paradise. New additions to the breakfast included the chicken apple sausage patties, a “Junk Food Bar” which offered not as healthy (yet still loved) cheese balls, pretzels, animal crackers, Skittles and Starburst candies. Seniors also had the opportunity to win raffle prizes.

“The Senior Breakfast is an exciting event for the seniors. They have an opportunity to socialize with one another, take lots of pictures in the photo booth and hear great music. Best of all, during the breakfast, seniors receive their caps and gowns for graduation,” said Mrs. Beth Adams, PTO Secretary and Senior Breakfast organizer. While the rest of the student body took tests, quizzes and heard lectures, the seniors slept in and arrived at school around 9:30 a.m., They left after the breakfast ended at 11:30 a.m.
