Subway price increase

in News by

With all that has been happening across campus these past few weeks, the recent changes in Subway’s sandwich pricing have gone virtually unnoticed.

Located in the gym/cafeteria of the 7000 building, the Subway stand serves six-inch ham, turkey, BMT, tuna, chicken and meatball sandwiches and fresh-baked cookies. Not only did the franchise recently increase its sandwich prices from three dollars to four, but the company also failed to announce this drastic price shift to students.

Ray Acord, sandwich distributor, states, “Subway increased their prices so we had to as well. It’s actually cheaper because they cost four-fifty in store.”

Although sandwich prices have increased nearly 33.33% this school year, students can still find peace of mind in the fact that prices for freshly baked chocolate chip cookies have remained constant. One can still acquire two of these confections for the low cost of one dollar.
