The first-seeded lady Patriots (20-4) traveled to take on the Boyd Anderson Cobras (13-14) in the district championship showdown Friday night, Feb. 7.

Heritage started hot from the tip-off and never let up the entire game, holding the Cobras to just nine points in the first half and their second-lowest point total of the season en route to the 57-18 victory.

“It was a complete team effort,” head coach Greg Farias said, “where everybody played an important role and a very special win because it’s our fifth district championship in a row.”

In order to accomplish their goal of winning the state championship, though, Coach Farias hopes to continue to “improve on executing our offense better and our defensive press.”

“It feels great to get the win,” junior guard Daniella Aronsky said following the victory, “because we started off really well, played as a team, and shared the ball.”
