Sprinting to states

Racing to the finish line, 20 track and field students made their way to The University of North Florida Jacksonville, FLA for the FSHAA Outdoor State Finals held May 3-4. After continuous training, the girls team finished third out of 45 teams and the boy’s team finished eleventh out of 52. Keep Reading

Alexa Lopez makes second Broadway call back

About a year ago, Playbill announced Tony award winner Ivo van Hove would direct the revival of “West Side Story” on Broadway in 2020. Casting and planning the revival is a long process, but one many of our resident theater students dream of being part of. Junior Alexa Lopez experienced a callback for “Dear Evan Hansen” earlier this school year and also had a callback for “West Side Story” as Maria. Keep Reading

All-County athletes receive recognition

While many students this weekend chose to occupy themselves with studying for upcoming finals and attending review days, around 30 athletes attended the annual Miami Herald Broward All County Breakfast hosted at the Signature Grand in Davie May 21. Keep Reading

Therapy Dogs take over the EEC

While many of us students are busy studying and cramming for upcoming finals, Patriots Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) brings the joy of a furry friend right to our school’s backyard. Located in the Environmental Education Center May 21 from 3-4 P.M., four dogs from the Canine Assisted Therapy nonprofit organization (CAT) lay peacefully on their mats enjoying the attention of around 100 students.
