Spreading cheer through their music, band members performed an assortment of melodies Dec. 11. While the band concert didn’t follow a set theme, many songs related to the holiday season, including “Country Christmas Cooking.” In this piece, which featured a brass-only medley composed of five musicians, dancers accompanied the band, clad in cowboy hats matching the western vibe of the song, on stage.

“I really enjoy performing at the concert because it’s purely for enjoyment,” said senior Ria Rajesh, one of the five musicians in the brass-only section of “Country Christmas Cooking.” “It’s just our parents and friends in the audience, so it doesn’t feel high stakes like the MPA competitions we take part in.”
