Heritage alumnus highlights MLB playoffs

Heritage alumnus Eric Hosmer and the Kansas City Royals are making their mark on the 2014 Major League Baseball (MLB) playoffs. The Royals have not been in the playoffs since 1985 and have now won four straight playoff games, three of them in extra innings, and are just four wins away from the World Series. Senior Kevin Schatz appears on the Today Show

Senior Kevin Schatz appeared on the Today Show Sept. 25 to raise awareness for pediatric cancer as well as Go4theGoal’s National Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day. Just before winter break of the 2012-2013 school year, Schatz was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer made up of cells that normally develop into skeletal muscles according to the American Cancer Society.
