Heritage celebrates 27 awards at the Nova Titan Invitational

Heritage traveled to Nova Southeastern University School for the Nova Titan Invitational Tournament Oct. 11-12, with 27 team members receiving some sort of award, and the school winning the prized Nova Titan belt for team sweeps. 

One of the first competitions of the school year, Nova Titan offered the opportunity for competitors to hone in their skills and receive valuable feedback on the pieces presented. A total of 73 students competed, with 27 students advancing to the semi-final and final rounds. In addition, Heritage took home the title of team sweeps, meaning that the school had the most competitors win awards.

“I loved this competition. It was super fun listening to others’ new speech ideas and getting suggestions from the judges for future competitions,” freshman Siyona Narang said. Overall, this competition was a valuable learning experience for the speech and debate team to go and conquer more tournaments.
