By the time you are reading this, you may have already caught or missed performances by big name artists such as Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams and Charli XCX who took the stage in October. No need to worry if you were swamped with quarter one tests and assignments and missed all the fun. Here’s a list of other major artists set to perform in South Florida in the coming months, giving you plenty of time to plan ahead.
Kehlani
Kehlani, a R&B and pop artist, who sang hit songs such as “After Hours” will be performing Dec. 6 at FPL Solar Amphitheater in Miami. Since she released a new album “While We Wait 2” this June, her setlist will be a mix of her older songs and newer material, containing a blend of R&B with upbeat tracks. Kehlani prefers to wear street style outfits with patterns and bold colors. Her stages include dynamic lightning, symbolic motifs and an intimate atmosphere.
Jhené Aiko
Another artist well known for her blend of pop, R&B and soul, Jhené Aiko, will be coming to Kaseya Center in Miami only a few days after Kehlani, Dec. 10. For her tour, she will be singing her older hit “Sativa,” along with her newer songs like “Sun/Son” and “Magic Hour” from her latest album. Aiko usually wears simple, flowy outfits to her shows. Her set is filled with visuals such as ocean waves, flowers and spirituality that viewers can enjoy along with her music.
Jingle Ball
The Jingle Ball at Kaseya Center in Miami, which will take place Dec. 21, will feature a variety of artists including Camila Cabello, SZA, The Kid LAROI, Jason Derulo, Khalid, Katy Perry and more. Buyers, for as low as $60 for a ticket, will have the chance to view multiple artists in one sitting. The artists’ music genres will range from pop to R&B to hip-hop. The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour will have exclusive pre-show events at select cities and feature artists such as Tate McRae.
If you aren’t able to make it to any concerts in the winter, look out for artists who will come by the summer, such as Shakira and Coldplay, before prices increase.
It is critical to plan ahead when purchasing concert tickets, as they might quickly sell out or increase in price. According to Business Insider, Taylor Swift’s concert which took place Oct. 18 offered tickets starting at $763 per person. A day before the concert, the prices rose as much as $2000.
