The Patriots dominated the field during the Homecoming game against Archbishop McCarthy 7:00 p.m. Friday Oct. 18, winning decisively with a final score of 35-0.

This win did not come by surprise, as head football coach Mike Smith emphasized the team’s commitment to the sport prior to the game. “Our expectation and goals for Friday’s game is to secure a win and play to our standard,” Coach Smith said.

Since the Patriots had a rough start to their season, losing four of eight games including their last matchup against the Norlan Vikings by only 5 points, this win was crucial for the team’s morale.

“Anytime you come off a loss from a previous game, you want to see how the team responds. I’m looking for us to focus on the details, and execute at a high level,” Coach Smith said.

This game was particularly important, as not only was it the Homecoming game but it was also Senior Night for the football players and cheerleaders. Before the game began, the Homecoming Court was introduced, and senior Krystal Molina sang the national anthem.

After the Patriots confidently took the field, they quickly began to control the game, and by around 9:00 p.m, the patriots walked out of the field,  victorious.

The couple has won homecoming court for the past three years, and kept their streak alive as they won their last and forth year. “We’re so grateful for the love and support, and we are running one last time this year,” Machado said.
