Calling All Photographers: Spring Photography Contest Kickoff

in Multimedia by

March marks the beginning of the season of rebirth and rejuvenation: spring, where fresh leaves are starting to form and new flowers are starting to bud. The world is seemingly at its dawn. The phenomenon of life is on full display after a long winter.

This year, the iPatriotPost will be hosting a spring photography contest for all students and faculty. Novice, intermediate and expert photographers are each encouraged to participate. There are two categories that individuals may enter: student life and nature. First-place winners of each category will receive a $15.00 retail therapy gift card. Category descriptors appear below.

1. Student life

Photographs entered in this category should reflect some element of student life at Heritage, capturing a moment of emotion or action. Candid (unposed) photos are preferred in this division. This photo must be taken on campus.

2. Nature

Photographs entered in this category should capture a unique aspect of nature, showcasing an element of spring. This photograph must be taken in Florida and may be taken on or off campus.

The entry guidelines are as follows:

  1. The photograph must be taken in the time frame of March to April 11 in 2025.
  2. Student life photographs MUST COMPLY WITH STUDENT HANDBOOK GUIDELINES: this category may ONLY be taken before school, during lunch, or after school.
  3. Images may only be cropped, rotated, or color-corrected.
  4. Images may be color or black and white.
  5. The use of AI is NOT permitted.
  6. There is only one entry per student in each category (you may enter both categories).
  7. The file must be viewable as a JPEG. If you upload the photo from google drive, make sure to make it a public, viewable link.

The submission deadline is April 11, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. After the close of the competition, the iPatriotPost staff will judge the photographs and results will be notified by email.

The iPatriotPost staff wishes you good luck, and remember, have fun.
