Following Tuesday’s 50’s freak out, students dressed up in their hippie-inspired outfits for “Flower Power Day.” Students brought in the flower power by wearing multi-colored outfits, styling loose clothing and sunglasses and spreading peace around campus. For the third consecutive year, Tikkun Olam, a club which Ben-Joseph presided over last year, hosted their Butterfly Bagel Brunch in the Environmental Education Center (EEC) to spread awareness about genocide and raise donations for Yazda, an organization that provides relief to genocide victims. After showing off class-pride on day 1, students dressed up in their first decades-inspired outfits for the week. Homecoming Day 2’s theme is 50’s Sock Hop Day, allowing students to dress up in their 50’s attire and jam out to the decade’s best songs. Keep Reading
Coming into homecoming week, students wore their class shirts for “Class Colors Day.” Students from grades 7-12 wore different colored shirts dedicated to their grade level. Every shirt had a design that read “Heritage Rocks the Decades,” including graphics that corresponded to the “Decades” theme. Keep Reading
