Five senior athletes took the next step in their athletic and football journeys by signing their National Letters of Intent with the objective to further their careers at the collegiate level. The signing ceremony took place in the 2500 building lobby Dec. 4, where the athletes were surrounded by their coaches, athletic trainers, family, friends and teammates to commemorate this next chapter of their lives. The event was more than just a formality, as head football coach Mike Smith said this day was to not only celebrate the athletes but also their family and friends, who have supported them throughout their careers and helped lead them to where they are today.

The players who signed are as follows:

Omarion Abraham – NC State

Mekhi Hicks – Harvard University

Dayen Marque-Araibi – University of Rhode Island

Byron Louis – University of Florida

Xavier Thomas – Florida State Univeristy

The team and committed seniors honor their coaches and thank them for helping them navigate the commitment process. (Photos/Nina Viera)
