Heritage’s upper school staff took a groovy trip back in time April 23 as the PTO hosted its annual staff appreciation luncheon. This year, the luncheon took a 1960s twist in honor of the 60 years of excellence anniversary.
The event, held in the gym, was decked out in full sixties flair, featuring flowers, colorful streamers and bright outfits.
“This lunch is a staff appreciation lunch for all of the upper school staff just to let them know how much we appreciate all they do,” PTO President Katie Rice said.
Teachers were treated to a buffet of barbeque foods such as pork and macaroni and cheese and both a coffee and donut bar from Haute Coffee and Krispy Kreme, respectively.
“At lunch they had great food. I love donuts, so the donut bar was excellent. Chocolate donuts make me and all people happy,” AP Physics C: Mechanics teacher Mr. David Jones said.
As Heritage celebrates its diamond anniversary, the luncheon served as a reminder of just how far the school has come while celebrating the staff that is responsible for its success.
