The New York City ball drop in Times Square has been a tradition to begin the new year since 1907. Since then, other states have also taken up the tradition of dropping something iconic to them. Celebrating 2025, almost 40 states and over 200 cities did a unique ball drop. Here are some of the most interesting ones:
