The first week of school was filled with lots of excitement, as teachers welcomed students into their classrooms, deans helped lost upper schoolers and the first ever tailgate took place to celebrate the first home football game of the school year. Below are some photos recapping the week:

The football game Aug. 30 featured performances by the Patriot Band and the Patriot Cheerleaders. Junior Noah-Duro Andre sang the national anthem to open up the festivities, and Mr. William “Bill” Laurie was honored on the field celebrating 60 years of Heritage. “Singing the Star Spangled Banner accompanied by the AHS Patriot Band was an absolutely surreal experience that I will be forever grateful for,” Andre said.
