Midterm season is approaching

in News by

As the holidays roll around and the semester draws to a close, midterm season begins. This year, midterm week takes place Dec. 17-20.

Study guides and rubrics are currently available on Schoology, designed to help students effectively prepare for their exams.

Completed exemption forms must be submitted no later than 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13. To qualify for exemption, students must have no more than 10 more excused absences and 10 unexcused tardies, along with having at least an A- or better as their semester grade.

For those eligible to exempt their semester exams, the process is straightforward. Exemption forms can be accessed through a variety of locations, including teachers’ Schoology pages and the Advising Schoology page.

Review days are Dec. 12, 13 and 16 for junior high and Dec. 13 and Dec. 16 for senior high.

Now is the time to start organizing your study schedule. Consider breaking up your study time to focus on one subject at a time. Use study guides, review class notes and consider meeting with teachers or tutors for additional help.

Also, don’t forget about self-care—getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, eating healthy and keeping a balanced routine— to keep your mind sharp as you prepare.
