The Model UN team attended the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference (ILMUNC) hosted by the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Jan 23-26.
“IMUNC is a competition of rigor and difficulties. It is one of the hardest conferences of the year. All the top Model UN schools attend this conference,” Model UN advisor Mr. Gruskin said.
After the committee session of the competitions, the Model UN team had attended a tour at Penn, guided by a former Heritage alumni, Mudit Marwaha who is a Penn student. Senior delegates applying to Penn were able to meet with the UPenn admission officers on this tour.
“Competing at ILMUNC was not only incredibly fun but also an amazing learning experience. ILMUNC was truly one of the most memorable trips of the year. I can’t wait for future trips,” junior Angeliah Pierre said. The team also bonded with their annual tradition – a ghost walk in downtown Philadelphia.
