Prom may be months away, but seniors gathered today in senior adviser Mrs. Krisynda Cicos’s room during lunch to brainstorm themes and decorations. Led by Mrs. Marisa Behar and with the help of senior Robyn Ratzan, the grouped discussed themes including “Arabian Nights,” “Enchantment Under the Sea” and “Island Paradise.” Ultimately, the theme “Masquerade” won the majority vote.
During the meeting, Mrs. Behar announced that Prom will be held at Signature Grand in order to accommodate the number of guests and, unlike previous years, Prom will be a senior-only event as opposed to a junior/senior event. While underclassmen may attend if invited by seniors, only seniors may purchase tickets.
The advisers will hold another Prom planning meeting in one month to discuss decorations, invitations, food and other details, but seniors who attended the meeting hope to incorporate feathers, masks and other elegant decorations to make Prom a memorable night.
