Spring has just begun, and for the boys volleyball team, that means it’s time to get to work.
Their first win was against Coral Spring High School Feb. 28, with a score of 3-2.
“We played really well and it was a great way to start the season,” senior captain Gabriel Moreau said.
The second game against La Salle was not so successful, losing 3-1. However, the team didn’t get discouraged and instead saw it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
”We gave good effort in both games. Now it’s about fixing small mistakes and staying consistent,” junior setter Felippe Schrappe said. “I’m just hoping to play as well as our captain, Gabrieal Moreau, one day.”
The other captain of the team, junior Aiden Itzkowitz, remains hopeful as well.
“I don’t think we played ‘badly’ necessarily. The beginning of the season is always a little rough. We have plenty more games and I’m confident we have a strong enough team to win,” Itzkowitz said.

Coach Garcia urged on his players throughout the game with encouraging words. “Good work out there, but remember to communicate, we need to work as a team.” Garcia said. (Photos/Mrs.Schrappe)
