The Student Government Association and the deans hosted their second open forum of the year on March 27, in order to answer students’ sizzling questions. While the deans asked for no questions surrounding uniform policies, they answered questions ranging from parking on campus to diversifying the scholarships available.
“Prior to Pizza with the Principals, many [juniors] filled out a google form I sent out with questions for me to ask at the event,” junior class president Matthew Ruiz said. “At the event, I asked the questions my class had sent to me. It’s always fun to see the interesting responses the principals and deans have to the questions,” he said.
Aside from questions submitted to a google form, students who attended the event also got an opportunity to ask questions. “I asked about getting more creative dress up days, as [I feel like] the school uses the same ones every year,” sophomore Luce-Gabrielle Etienne said. “I like that the deans are trying to get more [student] opinions on school issues, but I wish that we [people who physically attended the event rather than only submitting questions] had more time for our questions,” she said.
After answering everyone’s questions, attendees and faculty alike got to enjoy Papa John’s pizza as advertised in the various posters put up across campus. “It was fun to help put the event together. I, along with other SGA members, placed Pizza with the Principals flyers around school in order to hype up the event,” Ruiz said.
