Surtain II, who Profootballnetwork.com projects to be drafted in the early stages of the first round, was crowned defensive MVP of the College Football Playoff Semifinals in the Rose Bowl and helped lead Alabama to the National Championship, collecting 38 total tackles, 12 pass deflections, one interception, one fumble recovery and one touchdown on the year.

“It means a lot coming back home,” Surtain II said on Miami hosting the national championship, “and winning it all makes the win even more enjoyable.”
