The best froyo flavors to devour over the summer

in Entertainment by

With the summer heat being hard to beat this year, a sweet, refreshing treat is sometimes necessary to cool down on a long, hot day. Frozen yogurt, commonly referred to as froyo, is a perfect treat that’s easily customizable to anyone’s taste. Below are some delicious froyo combinations you should definitely consider trying this summer break.

Cookie Monster

Cookies and cream are a classic combination, and crushed chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough mixed with creamy vanilla are a perfect twist on this timeless treat. Add a bit of fudge or chocolate chips to fully bring out the flavors of this nostalgic treat.

Tropical Sorbet

For a lighter, more refreshing flavor this summer, try a more fruity twist on the classic froyo. A blend of mango, pineapple and passionfruit can create the perfect yogurt combo. Top with some fresh strawberries and a couple dark chocolate pieces for a flavorful yet guilt-free treat.

Chocolate-covered Strawberry

Strawberry yogurt is one of the three most common yogurt flavors, but for a unique twist on this nostalgic treat, add some chocolate pieces and fudge. Make sure to top your chocolate-strawberry creation with fresh strawberries and raspberries, as well as all three types of chocolate (white, milk and dark).

Twix Bar

The perfect combination of a salty caramel and chocolate delight, the Twix candy bar can take a refreshing turn in its froyo form. Twix bar crumbles, caramel sauce, chocolate fudge and chocolate wafers are all great toppers to the creamy caramel yogurt.

Each of these combinations are sure to bring a smile on your face while taking a break for a summer treat.

Menchi’s is a popular frozen yogurt chain found all over the nation. Serving fresh fruit with their froyo popularized the chain, and redefined their yogurt as a “healthier” alternative to ice cream.
