Patriot varsity football finally earned their first win: the Aug. 30 game against Western was a smashing success.
The Patriots took the early lead in the first quarter (35-6). While the second quarter was slow with neither team scoring, Heritage racked up more points in the third quarter and held on strong till the end. Finishing the game 51-12, the team now advances further up the rankings to fourth best football team in Florida.
Throughout the game, both teams managed to avoid any heavy penalties. Heritage scored an impressive seven touchdowns, with the highest scorers being junior Malachi Toney and senior Byron Louis (two each).
Notably, junior quarterback Dia Bell brought his A-game with a whopping 16 completed passes that helped clinch the win.
