Yummy in my Tummy introduces ‘Chopsticks’

in News by

Earlier this year, Yummy in my Tummy introduced the Yummy Grill which gave students more healthy lunch options. When students came back from the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 28, they were surprised with another addition to Yummy in my Tummy: Chopsticks.

Chopsticks offers students organic and all natural Asian cuisines served fresh to order. The school and Yummy in my Tummy added Chopsticks after students responded to a survey that they would like Asian food to be offered in the daily lunch options.

“After receiving positive feedback about Yummy Grill, we wanted to offer the students more. I like to say that full bellies are happy people,” said Karen Stanley an employee of Yummy in my Tummy.

Stanley also explained that Chopsticks was immediately a huge success. “The lines have been long, and people have been walking away happy. One day, we even ran out of food!” Stanley said.

Chopsticks offers a variety of different options. Students can choose either brown rice or lo mein noodles as their base and have the choice of sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, tofu and vegetable stir fry or the special of the day as their entree. Each meal costs $6.50 and comes with chopsticks and a fortune cookie. Students can purchase Chopsticks at the school store in the 7000 building by the canal.
