This week, May 2 through 5, the fine arts classes are performing in their annual end of the year concerts, showcasing the hard work students have put in throughout the past school year.
Beginning with the dance concert Wednesday April 27, the concerts include guitar, choir, band, orchestra and the elementary arts classes.
These concerts — which are free — start at 7:00 PM and showcase past pieces submitted to competitions as well as new ones specifically for the event. For instance, at the choir concert Monday night, the Treble Choir and the Acapella Chorus sang songs they had performed at competitions.
Teachers also presented awards recognizing students for their work in the classroom as well as in extracurricular events like the All State Choir and Band, which are audition-only honors groups brought together annually to showcase the top students in that discipline.
The tech department is looking for volunteers to help run these concerts. To sign up, email [email protected]
