Seniors step up and claim campus royalty for senior step up day

The Heritage throne has been taken over by a new class of seniors: the class of 2025. The soon-to-be seniors celebrated May 20 by wearing their class shirts, featuring the class slogans “25 sitting on 25 mil” and “2ENIOR5” on the back.

The day included a candy bar station outside the 2500 building during lunch, decorated with a throne for photos and pop music.

“I can’t believe my grade has become seniors, I feel like we were freshmen just yesterday. Senior step up day was a lot of fun, I loved wearing the crown I decorated and taking pictures with my friends,” junior Jeeya Patel said.

Junior class president Matthew Ruiz is excited for the upcoming year. “I’m excited to see all of the classes wrapping up for this year and just seeing the workload decreasing. I was happy to see all of us become Seniors on senior step up day. And next year I have a bunch of things planned, so I’ll be sure to repeatedly ask Mr. Rodriguez to approve them,” Ruiz said.
