Varsity boys lacrosse defeats Martin County 15-4

The varsity boys lacrosse team took down the Martin County Tigers March 9 15-4, adding another win to their now 2-1 season record. Due to their relentless defense, control on the offense and domination on the face off, the boys sent the Tigers on their over 90 mile trip home with a loss.

From the first tick of the clock, the Patriots took control of the game. Sophomore Anthony Dara won the majority of the faceoffs during the first half, which allowed Heritage to set up their offense. Senior Anders Kirkeide, junior Derek Whiteside and sophomore Dylan Alonso together scored the first six goals of the game to kick off a 6-0 start.

As the game progressed, the Patriots continued to find the back of the net. A total of seven different players scored: Kirkeide (5), Alonso (4), freshman Jaxson Kierl (2), Whiteside (1), Dara (1), junior Jordan Buchan (1) and senior Alex Thomas (1).  Catch the varsity boys at their next home game, March 15 against Cypress Bay High School.
