The NHS Brain Brawl team won both matches in their Dec. 2 competition, leading them one step closer to the Broward County championship title.
The NOH8 club, an activism club promoting acceptance and education about gender inequality, eating disorders, LGBT rights, suicide prevention and anti-bullying, hosted a “bake and button sale” Tuesday, Dec. 2 along the canal to fundraise for the UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign.
After over two years of planning, the Chess Club had its first session Tuesday, Nov. 10. The students were coached by Mr. Gildardo Garcia, who won the 1998 World Open chess tournament in Philadelphia and was awarded the title of Grandmaster by the World Chess Federation.
The NHS-sponsored Trunk-or-Treat event, held for lower school students each fall, welcomed over 600 visitors this year.
Distinguished members of the local community gathered at the Inverrary Country Club this afternoon for a luncheon held in recognition of the seventieth anniversary of the United Nations.
