Patriot Post and Patriots TV staffers traveled to Orlando last week to participate in the Florida Student Press Association (FSPA) competition, the state’s premier journalism convention. After entering in Spring Digital contests in February, staffers attended the conference — attending workshops, competing in on-the-spot contests and networking with fellow journalists.
Below, read the results of the Spring Digital Competitions:
Students place in FSPA’s On-the-Spot competitions. In the Steven J. Thor mixed company competition, senior Nithisha Makesh placed third, sophomore Kayra Dayi placed second and freshman Heather Johnson placed first. Johnson also won first for her module design. Junior Ella Gohari finished third for her opinion column, and she, senior Hannah Letzelter and freshman Nicholas Kwok won first for their short form video.
