The Curse of Bridge Hollow
Imagine Halloween decorations coming to life; the zombies, skeletons and jack-o-lanterns that stand in neighborhood backyards every year all wake up in one small town. October is the month for spooky movies and Netflix is coming out with a new original to fit the theme this Oct. 14. “The Curse of Bridge Hollow” is about a teenage girl who accidentally lets out an ancient spirit that wreaks havoc in her town. The show’s star, Priah Ferguson, plays the daughter of actor Marlon Wayans and the movie is centered around the father-daughter team as they work together to save their town from the evil spirit.
The School for Good and Evil
Heroes and villains gather into “The School for Good and Evil” in the fantastical movie coming out Oct. 21. Best friends, Agatha and Sophie, find themselves mistakenly placed in the wrong school; of course, the only solution to right this wrong is true love’s kiss. When a villain enters the scene and threatens to destroy the school, Agatha played by Sofia Wylie and Sophie played by Sophia Anne Caruso, must find a way to save the day and get their happy ending.
The Good Nurse
Based on a true story, “The Good Nurse,” follows Nurse Amy Loughren as she finds out her colleague, Charlie, is responsible for the deaths of numerous patients throughout his career. The crime drama starring Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain is inspired by the real-life murders of Charles Cullen, who confessed to killing 40 patients across two states. Amy risks her life to find out the truth about Charlie in the movie releasing Oct. 26.
