Non-profit organization Bullets4Life raises awareness for gun violence prevention by repurposing bullets into bracelets. To commemorate the fourth anniversary of the Parkland shooting Feb. 14, the Current Events Club worked with Bullets4Life to bring their movement to Heritage. (Photo/Anya Pinto)Students began by destroying bullets for each Parkland victim and survivor, shouting “No more” with each hit. “Each bullet destroyed is a life saved instead of a life taken,” founder and CEO Susan Kennedy said. They each wrote a message to keep inside the shell casing of the bracelet as a reminder of their activism. Students see a reflection of themselves along with the lives they potentially saved in the form of destroyed bullets. The Current Events Club raised over $300 for Bullets4Life to help buy a headstone for a young boy who was lost to gun violence over ten years ago. (Photos/Susan Kennedy, Julia Seifer and Anya Pinto)
