The Academic and College Advising Department of Heritage is one of the most important aspects of the school. As we are known for being #1 in Florida and having 100% of students continue their education at a university or college, it is all thanks to this one department.
Prior to school starting, there have been many updates in role switchings and new members. For role switchings:
- Mrs. Kelley Zavatsky has been promoted to Director of Academic Advising, and Mrs. Jody Schiller will be stepping down and continuing as an Academic Adviser for 9th and 10th grade
- Mrs. Tammy Kowitt will be passing her students onto new College Advisor Mrs. Michelle Lewin
- Mrs. Kristi Carlo will be advancing onto becoming a College Advisor
- Mrs. Kara Morreale will become an Academic Advisor for seventh and eighth grade
For new staff:
- Mr. Eduardo Martinez will be joining as an Academic Advisor
- Mrs. Michelle Lewin will become a College Advisor with 10 years of experience and being known as Broward County Public High School Counselor of the Year
- Mrs. Daniella Conn and Mrs. Anna Trevino will be joining the department to help students throughout grades 7-12 for a smooth start to the school year
With all these updates, it may get confusing, so refer to the chart below to find your assigned advisor and stay in touch with them.
