The Computer Science Honors Society hosted a food drive recently in Ms. Marisa Behar’s room. Junior Sanya Ahmed, director of activities in the club, organized the drive.
“Our project for service is to redesign the Poverello website, it’s a food bank for people with chronic illnesses. I was really inspired by their whole mission so I decided to do a food drive at school.”
Fortunately, they received an abundance of donations. After school on Friday, Feb. 27, the Poverello truck was loaded. These donations were received by Poverello and will eventually be given out to those with chronic illnesses.
