The Patriots varsity football team faced off against the Stranahan Mighty Dragons Oct. 13. From start to finish, Heritage dominated the game, with the final score 63-16.

The Patriots started off with a bang, ending the first quarter with four touchdowns, leaving the score 28 to nil. As the second quarter progressed, they continued to dominate, and at halftime the score stood 49-0. In the third quarter, Stranahan managed to score 16 points, but Heritage scored three more touchdowns, leading to the final score.

In addition to the win by the Patriots, Heritage had another reason to celebrate, as it was Senior Night. The senior football players, cheerleaders, dancers and band members all were honored with crowns, sashes and flowers. They also were escorted onto the field one-by-one by their parents or guardian of choice.

The theme of the game was Pink Out, so Heritage could show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Students on and off the field made sure to incorporate pink into their outfit, whether by bows, sashes or sweatbands.
